Traders Village: One of the Largest Flea Markets in Dallas, Texas

Wednesday, May 2nd, 2007

If you love going to garage sales or simply looking for hidden treasures on a Saturday afternoon, then Traders Village is the place to be. Traders Village is located south of Dallas in the city of Grand Prairie.

Traders Village offers 120 acres of pure shopping and entertainment from cars to furniture and everything in between. The Village is only open on the weekends therefore this is a fantastic place to spend a Saturday or Sunday browsing the many rows of goods from over 3,500 dealers. Traders Village is an open – air flea market, therefore there is limited shelter to fight off those very hot sweltering Texas days but there are plenty of rest areas along with covered restaurants that can be a temporary reprieve from the heat.

Also, for all you out of towners, Traders Village has a fully functional RV park, so you will not have to miss a thing.

Traders Village features numerous activities and entertainment throughout the weekend with fun festivals, family rides, arcade games and tasty restaurants.

The Village has over 30 food outlets that will satisfy any appetite. My favorites are, the “Famous Traders Village Hot Link”, roasted corn on a cob and the funnel cakes. The “Famous Traders Village Hot Link” is simply delicious, hot and meaty. The funnel cakes are made with just the right amount of sugar and ingredients to melt in your mouth.

Traders Village also is host to various festivals and events throughout the year; upcoming events include, the “Cajun Festival”, “Auto Swap Meet”, and the “Caribbean Music Festival”. Visit website for dates and times.

Spring is here and if you are a true die-hard treasure hunter, this is the perfect time to explore the massive bargains at Traders Village.
