White Rock Lake

White Rock Lake is located in central Dallas, Texas surrounded by magnificent scenery, historical culture and the best biking trails in North Dallas. White Rock Lake is famous for its biking and walking trails that span 9.1 miles around the lake.

This historical location is home to many charity and community events such as, the White Rock Marathon and the Adopt-A-Shoreline campaign. White Rock Lake is best known for its numerous bicycling clubs, Dog Park and cozy spots for just hanging out.

My favorite thing to do at White Rock Lake is to find a great spot by the lake and just look out at the serene calming waters and watch the ducks float by. This is simply a little piece of heaven right in the middle of Dallas.

White Rock Lake also has picnic areas, playgrounds, boat rentals, athletic fields and the breathtaking Dallas Arboretum and is an excellent place to take a quick stroll and unwind from a long workweek.

Joe Pool Lake

Joe Pool Lake is located in the southern region of Dallas, Texas in picturesque Mountain Creek. Joe Pool Lake is best known for it aquatic vegetation, prime fish assortment and awesome fishing spots. Joe Pool Lake is also home to Cedar Hill National Park that is just right for camping, hiking, swimming and great picnic areas.

Joe Pool Lake is a fantastic place to get back to nature. It is one of those places where you can disappear and lose yourself in bird watching, boating or relaxing at a cozy fishing spot.

Lake Lewisville

Lewisville Lake is located far north of Dallas, Texas in the quaint city of Lewisville. Lewisville Lake is 23,280 acres of fun and is best known for its water sports, scenic trails and the Lewisville Lake Park.

Lewisville Lake is a fun place to take the family, a few friends or just go solo to hang out and have a good time. The lake offers various locations to swim, camp, bike and picnic.

My favorite spot is Lewisville Lake Park. This 350-acre of land has a gorgeous view of the lake and great golf course to get your game on or just relax. Lewisville Lake Park also has day and night camping sites, a playground for the kiddies and a swimming beach.

So, pack up the group and head out to Lewisville Lake for a fun-filled and relaxing day. Remember, this park gets pretty full on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, so get there early to claim your spot.
