Dallas Aquarium at Fair Park

by

Dan.jpg In these dog days of summer, our thoughts often turn to water. Drinking enough water, to be sure. Swimming in the local pool or water park. But there are ways to feel the soothing effects of water without actually getting wet.

The Dallas Aquarium at Fair Park is connected with the Dallas Zoo (albeit separated by distance). They feature fish, reptiles, and invertebrates from South America, Africa, and Texas. Habitat information is posted with the exhibits. They regard their exhibits of sharks, sea horses, stingrays, jellyfish, and turtles as among their highlights. You can also observe the breeding lab for endangered species.

The Dallas Aquarium is located at First Ave. and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Fair Park. Open daily 9 - 4:30. Admission is $4, children 3-11 $3, free for children under 3. 214-670-8443. www.dallaszoo.com.

Have a good day and Peace be with you.
