The Joy of Lunchboxes Road Trip

Dan.jpg “The Joy of Lunchboxes Road Trip” will be at Traders Village this Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 18 and 19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Presented by Sara Lee, it is part of an eight-city tour focusing on the benefits of whole-grain nutrition. A dietician will present tips for adults on packing nutritious and fun lunches. It will also include children’s, tastings of Sara Lee’s latest bread recipe, and a bread giveaway. Free admission, but $3 per car for parking. 2602 Mayfield Rd. in Grand Prairie. www.thejoyofeating.com/wholegraingiveaway.

If you are like my wife and I, you are always looking for new and creative ideas for lunches to send with your children to school. Sending lunches helps us to know what our children are eating and control the cost of lunches.
